Required IEP Sections in Oklahoma

What sections are required in an IEP in Oklahoma?

Oklahoma IEPs must include all federally required IDEA components. Each IEP must contain: present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP) with current assessments defined as one year old or less; measurable annual goals (with short-term objectives/benchmarks required for alternate assessment students); description of how progress toward goals will be measured and reported; statement of special education services, related services, supplementary aids and services, and program modifications; explanation of non-participation in general education; participation in state/district assessments (OSTP or OAAP); projected start date, frequency, duration, and location of services; transition plan beginning before 9th grade year or age 15 (whichever first); and transfer of rights at age 18. Oklahoma uses EDPlan, a statewide online IEP software system, for all IEP documentation.
